This attribute defines how many half-hearts of damage is inflicted to any kind of entity (monsters, creatures, players) when hitting them with the item.
By default, items always deal 1 damage (½ heart). To change this, add the following line to your item's .js file:
damage = 2;
Because this is in half-hearts of damage, an item with the above line will deal 1 full heart of damage. You may change that value to any positive integer number.
